Overview
Process
I led the UX/UI design for Moonlander Trade, a DeFi perpetual trading platform built on the Cronos zkEVM chain. As my first crypto project, I navigated a steep learning curve to quickly understand complex trading and staking flows, delivering dev-ready prototypes within weekly sprints. I owned end-to-end UX—from user research, internal testing, and flow optimization to high-fidelity design and QA support. I collaborated across teams to build a scalable design system, align product tone with UX writers, and co-develop a space-themed brand with visual designers and marketing. I also designed the teaser page and a gamified campaign to educate new users and drive early platform growth.
Limitations
In 2024, I led the UX/UI design of Moonlander at Cronos Labs—a DeFi perpetual trading platform built on the Cronos zkEVM chain. The product was designed for advanced degen traders and stakers, offering a high-leverage trading experience tailored to their needs.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What Is Perpetual Trading?
Perpetual contracts (“perps”) are a type of crypto derivative that allows traders to speculate on asset prices with high leverage—without an expiry date. They’re a staple for experienced DeFi users but come with complex UX needs due to risk, speed, and precision.
💡Think of it like margin trading, but with no time limit—and designed for degen traders who thrive on volatility.
